Curtis one of the first soul singers to include sociopolitical messages in his music, laying the foundation for many artists including Bob Marley and 'concious rappers' like Common n em; a legendary self-taught guitar player, his hard-hitting riffs where influencial in the development of Funk. Curtis was sadly paralysed neck-down in a studio accident, but continued to compose and record music till his death in 99. This dance track first appeared on his debut solo album - Curtis in 1970, and the upbeat feel to it has helped it age well, and still gets heads bumpin everytime it gets a spin.
